Saturn 5 tour building

The Saturn 5 tour is a part of the normal bus tour but also a destination for other tours as well.

I can spend days and days in there. I just didn't spend enough time.

Below is part of the multimedia video presentation. It's a set but not just a set, the actual command center for the Saturn 5 program in this room. And we sat above and watched a launch from the perspective of being in the command building.

The presentation had of course great sound effects and drama. It had great surround sound, shaking and even the windows shook like they would when the Rocket would take off. They had mechanical hammers of some sort outside the windows and they would rattle the windows when the launch happened. This with shaking of the seats as well or so it seemed, made it seem like you were at a launch. Very fun the Saturn 5 experience.

After the launch we are led into a huge part of the building that has the entire Saturn 5, an actual rocket with all the parts that included everything we sent to the moon. Command module, lunar module, all the stages, space suits everything. It's very impressive. They even have a moon rock you can touch, and it's rubbed smooth from all the touching people have done.

Here's just one of the many photos I took of the Saturn 5 system. One problem with the Fujix 3d camera is this is a narrow field camera and not as wide an angle as many cameras would be. This means it's difficult to get a wide field shot of something that other cameras might be able to do.

Also some things are huge and tall and because we need a stereo view we can't take portrait orientation. 3d photography does have it's limitations.
